My Questions

1. What’s your favourite childhood Halloween memory?

I remember my having a Halloween party at our house with 2 other families complete with a series of games including, toilet paper mummy creation, bobbing apples and best dressed.

2. What’s your favourite thing about October?

I love the transition from summer into winter, the weather gets colder but you still get the warmth of the final summer sun. The beginning of the jumper and boots season is the BEST time of year…you can never have too many pairs of boots.

3. Are you a big celebrator of Halloween?

Having grown up in a rural-ish part of Wales, trick-or-treating wasn’t really a thing, but we always carved pumpkins and had our traditional pumpkin parties complete with Strictly Come Dancing Halloween Week!

4. What’s your favourite horror movie?

I’m not a big fan of horror movies, I end up getting super freaked out especially if watching one alone. One of my favourites as a kid was Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed, I related to Daphne a little more than I always liked to admit.

5. Would you rather a cosy night in watching horrors or a big night out in a costume?

I only started going out in costume for Halloween at Uni…my favourite Halloween night out was last year when I dressed up as a “Dead Fairy” with @ellieblogs.

6. Which has been your most favourite costume to date?

My favourite costume EVER was my “Dear Fairy” look. I would normally conform to the classic “Witch” outfit that was perfect for bossy, tall and opinionated young girls like me.

7. Bobbing for apples or pin the hat on the witch?

Bobbing apples, every time!! I won’t divulge anything but I remember a very specific rugby social where we played this game.

8. How do you celebrate Halloween?

Pumpkin Parties! This mostly consists of carving pumpkins, drinking wine and watching Strictly Come Dancing…riveting I know.

9. What’s your favourite Halloween candy?

I LOVE green jelly at Halloween!

10. Do you have a favourite trick or treating memory?

Unfortunately not, see question 3…hopefully that will change.

11. What’s your favourite thing about Halloween?

Pumpkins, all the orange colours and the fun! It’s great fun however you celebrate and gives you the perfect opportunity to get creative.

12. Scary costume or Silly costume?

Scary…it’s Halloween people!

13. Ideas for waste-free and eco-friendly decorations?

Inspired by www.awastefreeworld.com you can paint spooky or cute faces onto acorns and autumn confetti made out of leaves! Check out their insta or website for more ideas on how to cut down on single use plastic this Halloween.
